Pyrite--A parable about the American Dream

This little parable about the American dream came out in "Rue Scribe" while I was in the ICU following my surgery. Only just saw it. Iron pyrite, by the way, is called Fool's Gold, apparently because it was frequently mistaken by panhandlers for the real deal. Seemed an apt metaphor . . .
